Vrådal is a village in Kviteseid municipality in Telemark, situated at a junction between two lakes, Nisser and Vråvatn. The landscape here is characterized by high mountains, lush forests, calm lakes, and shallow, child-friendly beaches.
In winter, you can enjoy fantastic slopes at Vrådal Panorama Ski Resort, which offers a variety of runs for all skill levels, 18 slopes, and many lifts — including an eight-seater chairlift. There’s also a dedicated children’s area with two free conveyor lifts! Here, kids of all ages can build confidence and have fun sledding and skiing right next to a warming hut and café.
Vrådal also has cross-country trails both in forest terrain and up in the mountains, just beyond the Orreleikåsen cabin area. A lighted trail can also be found near Vrådal’s center.
When the snow melts and spring arrives, a whole new range of activities opens up. Explore the beautiful trails on foot or by bike, and soak in the stunning nature around you. In summer, you can take a refreshing swim in one of the many lakes in the area or try your luck fishing. Vrådal also offers excellent golf courses, bathing beaches, and boating opportunities on Lake Nisser — letting you experience Norwegian summer at its best.
